It is time for the Reading Challenge Wrap Up for those of you who chose to participate. Here are a few of the books I read the last two months.

I would recommend all of them, though I liked Journey to the River Sea, The Phantom Tollbooth, and Whispers of the Bayou the best.

I've reviewed two of them on my blog, the two about children. Of all four, I think I learned the most from "How Children Succeed" and have mentioned it most in conversation. An excellent book for educators, I'd say. Informative for parents too.
I enjoyed "Start Something that Matters" because it was a quick and easy read, with an inspiring premise. I'm still thinking about how I might incorporate the premise into my own freelance business. "Almost Amish" was interesting, and I appreciated her points about putting people first, evaluating our media consumption and de-cluttering. But I also found that there was something about her book that didn't captivate me in the same way as "Start Something that Matters." Can't quite put my finger on it.
Oh, I also wanted to say thanks for the challenge. It has got me filling the nooks and crannies of my day with books.
Nothing like a goal to get me to read some of the books that I kept thinking I ought to read "some day."
Falling Down the Page was a favorite. I liked the poem called Ways to Greet a Friend by A.Harley.It was in many different languages and I will frame it for my daughter who teaches French and has her classroom decorated in a 'world' decor. I also enjoyed Almost Amish, Amanda's quilt book and Paper Made, which I my buy. Thanks, Clair for broadening my literary horizon!
I was only able to read Half Stitched Amish Club---still on waiting list for a couple others.
