Snow Day Sewing

Yesterday I had the day off because of snow.  Since my taxes are done (I did those on the March snow day) and I didn't have a book I was dying to read, I shoveled snow for a good hour and then I started a quilt. The inspiration for this quilt can be found on my sister's blog. I am not making it big enough for a bed, but leaning toward a baby sized quilt. If that is the case, all my nine patch blocks are done. It just needs sashing and borders.

Hi, your sister pointed us to your blog last week I think, it combines two of my favorite things: books and sewing!
Cute blocks! I have a nine-patch top put together from the sew along that your sister hosted, you've inspired me to get it out and finish it!

Nice blocks.

You must have had more to shovel than we did. We mostly just played in the snow. A lot of on the driveway melted on its own.

I really like 9 patch quilts, in fact that is what I am working on now. I made about 10 potholders for Christmas presents first for practice, and now have started this quilt. I like your colors, very similar to mine. Nice Clair!
